It is not an ordinary old town, it is still alive.
The most impressive side of the town is hosting local people, while it seems to be a touristic attraction. Other old cities that I have seen before are generally forsaken ruins. But this one is really different. You should see and feel the spirit of the city.
Yes, I think natural beauty of the Dubrovnik which I mentioned before, is a valid reason to visit Dubrovnik, but old town is much more than you expect.
Old town dendiğinde benim kafamda zamanında pek çok insana, olaya ev sahipliği yapmış; ama şuan terk edilmiş ve harabeye dönmüş, hiç bir hayat belirtisi olmayan yapılar canlanıyordu. Ta ki Dubrovnik'tekini görünceye dek. İnsanlar halen bu şehrin içinde günlük hayatlarını sürüyor.
Genel olarak pansiyon tarzı işletmeler, mağazalar, restoran ve barlar hakim ama yine de insanlar yaşıyor, dar sokaklara çektikleri iplere çamaşır falan asıyorlar. :D
(çamaşır demişken çamaşırların saatlerdir makinede asılmayı beklediği aklıma gelmesi de hoş oldu tabi, malesef benimkiler taş evler arasında rüzgarla kuruyacak kadar şanslı değiller.)
Özellikle sınav zamanlarında açığa çıkan bendeki kaçıp gitme isteğini post yazıp ders çalışmayarak geçiştirmeye çalışıyorum sanırım, neyse ki okuldaki son dönem. (umarım) :D

These forthresses (Bokar and Lovrijenak) are located at the Pile Gate of the old town. You can sit and enjoy the view between them.

She also guessed our nationality thanks to her favorite tv serial which's name is "Sulejman Veličanstveni" in Croatia, "Muhteşem Yüzyıl" in Turkey. :D
This shop is the best one in the old town, you can find different gift choices here. Especially fabulous fregrance soaps. It's name is "Gift and Art Shop Medusa".
If you visit there, please say hi from indecisive Turkish girls. :)
